We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Estimator for our Energy Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the energy sector, with a particular emphasis on Photovoltaics (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). As a Sr. Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our team, responsible for all aspects of construction estimating and attending pre-bid meetings. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to contribute their expertise to a dynamic and growing company.

• Develop comprehensive, detailed, and accurate cost estimates for PV and BESS projects.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, review proposals, and execute project scoping to determine costs.
• Analyze and understand project technical specifications, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Prepare and present cost-estimating reports to senior management and clients.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates.
• Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the most competitive prices.
• Review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, quality, and availability of materials.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in PV and BESS technologies.

Job Details

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in construction estimating, specifically within the energy industry.
• Proficiency in PV and BESS technologies is a must.
• Proven experience attending and contributing to pre-bid meetings.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
• Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
• Proficient in relevant software, including MS Office and estimating software.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
• A professional certification in estimating or a related field would be advantageous.
