Salary: $175,000 - $225,000 per year

As a regional Product Manager, your responsibilities include procuring data from new broking desks, defining and maintaining a 5-year strategic plan, and guiding products from ideation to market launch. The role also entails managing P&L, overseeing multiple projects, conducting Data Inventory Assessments, and identifying opportunities to monetize data. Collaboration with various teams, engagement with industry bodies and clients, and participation in marketing and sales activities are crucial aspects.

Job Details Subject Matter Expertise:
- Serve as the regional expert for OTC Oil, Gas, Coal & Environmental derivative data products.
- In-depth knowledge of broking/trading practices, pricing methodologies, and analytics.
Data Procurement and Publication:
- Procure data from new broking desks and ensure external data publication channels
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and maintain a 5-year strategic plan for the region, including market trends analysis, addressable markets, and P&L estimates for data products.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Guide products from ideation to go-to-market launch.
- Manage P&L for new and existing products, reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, Technology, Sales, and Energy & Commodities desks for successful project implementation.
Industry Engagement and Research:
- Engage with industry bodies and clients to recommend content enhancements.
- Drive new business initiatives through research, documentation, and implementation.
Data Inventory Assessments:
- Undertake periodic assessments of systems and processes supporting the broker workflow.
- Identify opportunities to monetize data at a desk-by-desk basis.
Collaboration with Product Managers:
- Work with other Product Managers to build revenue-generating products based on Energy & Commodities data.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain relationships with senior Energy & Commodities managers, Managing Directors, and Desk Heads.
Product Maintenance and Improvement:
- Collaborate with the Product Implementation team to improve and maintain existing products.
- Oversee regional/global marketing activities and represent the company at conferences.
Sales Support:
- Provide SME expertise during sales calls and support various stages of the sales process.
- Assist with materials and support for specific sales campaigns.
Networking and Travel:
- Attend industry events and conferences, both regionally and internationally, to represent the firm.
Operational Improvements:
- Drive process and operational improvements locally and throughout the organization
Strategic Initiatives:
- Identify and progress strategic initiatives with potential 3rd party data sources.
Leadership and Guidance:
- Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to junior colleagues, escalating any arising issues.
