Leading Commercial Real Estate Development Company Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Property Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of property accounting, financial analysis, and management accounting. This role will be instrumental in driving financial performance, improving processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. Oversee and manage the general ledger and financial reporting processes for a portfolio of properties. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas of improvement. Develop and maintain financial forecasts, providing insights to management. Review balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Collaborate with other finance team members to streamline and improve financial processes and reporting. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Provide financial expertise and guidance to property management teams. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial plans. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or a related field. *Experience with Commercial and/or Retail Real Estate* Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and financial analysis. Proficient in account reconciliation and management accounting. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and create financial reports and forecasts. Strong understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
