We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Contract Payroll Specialist to join our team in the engineering industry. This exciting role will allow you to utilize your skills in payroll management and administration, with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our team of engineers. As a Contract Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for: Accurately processing payroll for employees on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Providing payroll reports and summaries to management, highlighting any discrepancies or issues. Assisting with the preparation and distribution of year-end tax forms. Resolving payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner. Collaborating with the HR team to ensure seamless integration of new hires into the payroll system. Continually reviewing and improving payroll processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy. Keeping abreast of changes in payroll legislation and best practices, ensuring the company remains compliant at all times. The ideal candidate for the Contract Payroll Specialist role will have: A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within the engineering industry. Certification in Payroll (CPP) or equivalent qualification. Proven ability to manage end-to-end payroll processes, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices. Proficiency in using payroll software and systems. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
