Job Details We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join our production team.
In this role, the key responsibilities of the Electrical Technician include testing, troubleshooting, and repairing APS Technology equipment to defined specifications in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Electrical Technician will be Interpreting test results and providing written recommendations for changes to product design/processes along with programming tools, following written or verbal instruction, assembling products to schematics and/or blueprint specifications using a variety of hand tools including some precision soldering techniques. The Electrical Technician will also recommend changes in design, manufacturing procedures and test equipment to improve manufacturability or reliability. The Electrical Technician will be testing, troubleshooting, and repairing completed products and field returns as required, requisitioning required parts if kits are incomplete, or parts are damaged and enter data into the record keeping system, as necessary. Keeping accurate records of time spent on each item and any problem encountered is a must. The Electrical Technician will be participating in all lab activities to support engineering and production.
Qualifications:
2-7 years related technician experience required. Associates Degree or equivalent technical schooling preferred.
Must be electromechanically inclined; able to use hand tools such as soldering iron, test equipment, meters, power supplies, grinding equipment. Must be able to operate heavy machinery such as torque machine.
Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus but training will be provided.
Ability to perform all manual assembly and technician operation.
Intermediate computer skills including MS Office.
Understanding of electronic components and mechanical assembly techniques
Ability to read micrometers, verniers, torques and other measuring equipment.
Ability to read complex drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Bilingual a plus but not a requirement.
