- Conduct legal research and analysis to provide advice and guidance to clients on various insurance defense matters.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and trial documents.
- Prepare and conduct depositions, witness interviews, and other discovery-related activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and experts to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines to ensure timely and efficient resolution of cases.
- Participate in trial preparation, including witness preparation, jury selection, and trial strategy development.
- Prepare and present legal memoranda and other written materials to clients, colleagues, and experts.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the MA and/or CT bar.
- 4+ years of experience in insurance defense, with a focus on personal injury, products liability, professional liability, general liability, and related matters.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with trial preparation, deposition, and other discovery-related activities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
