Job DetailsThis role entails being stationed at project sites in Southern California and working closely with the Project Executive, Project Manager, Estimator, and VP of Construction as part of a cohesive project team. You'll play a vital role within the SPC project team, ensuring projects are consistently delivered on time, within budget, and surpassing client expectations.
Your responsibilities include providing overall leadership on projects, coordinating, and overseeing all construction activities. We seek someone who can effectively lead and supervise construction activities, demonstrating flexibility, attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills to manage multiple tasks and consistently deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
The Superintendent will oversee the execution of construction projects within defined scope, timelines, and budgets. They will collaborate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, architects, consultants, governing agencies, landlords, and SPC team members to ensure projects are completed with quality and efficiency.
Superintendents are accountable for managing and ensuring the success of various project segments, including site management, project administration, safety, scheduling, site meetings, and closeout_
Key Qualifications:
- 6+ years of construction supervisory experience in commercial interiors
- Professional representation of SPC as the primary interface for field operations with the project team
- Proven track record of delivering quality work and meeting deadlines on high-end commercial construction projects
- Ability to foster positive relationships with subcontractors and communicate effectively
- Proficiency in oral and written communication, as well as computer skills
- Familiarity with Building Department and Fire Department inspection procedures for mid- to high-rise buildings
- Experience in working within occupied multi-floor buildings or multi-building campuses with strict landlord construction guidelines
- Trade-specific knowledge of commercial construction processes and sequencing
