We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controls Technician to join our growing team in the engineering industry. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, designing and developing control systems and equipment in our operations. This role requires a highly technical and hands-on individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and is comfortable being the go-to person for all matters related to control systems. If you have a passion for problem-solving and a deep understanding of control systems, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement complex control systems for our operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with control systems and equipment.
- Design and program PLC systems using Logix and ladder logic.
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing control systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop new control systems and strategies.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests of control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Document all control system changes and developments.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Technician or in a similar role.
- Proven experience with PLC, Logix, programming, controls, and ladder logic.
- Strong understanding of control system theories and principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to design and develop complex control systems.
