Job Details

We are a leading player in the Medical Industry, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's financial health and stability.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
  • Manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership
  • Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial data management systems
  • Regularly review the company's financial performance and report on variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
  • Inspect and reconcile account balances
  • Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
  • Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or certification such as a CPA is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and with accounting software.
  • Proven ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and general ledger management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team management approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
