An immediate opening for an experienced Construction Manager | Resident Engineer to oversee Capital Improvement Program construction projects for our public agency clients. The full-time position will be filled in our Santa Rosa office and require travel to serve our clients throughout the region. The candidate will have a minimum 10 years of experience in all facets of public works infrastructure construction projects including 5 years of experience as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors. Meet contractual conditions of performance. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in construction management or a related field. Proven working experience in construction management, including experience with design and public works. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods. Understanding of all facets of the construction process. Excellent time and project management skills. able to work without supervision. In-depth understanding of the construction industry. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards. Good knowledge of MS Office. Familiarity with construction/ project management software. PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
