- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
- Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Monitor equipment to identify potential failures and risks.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify faulty equipment, validate that repairs have been completed, and ensure other maintenance tasks are performed satisfactorily.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or other managerial role.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and industrial equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
- Experience in planning maintenance operations.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in the use of various power tools and equipment.
- Strong leadership and managerial abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An eye for detail.
- Professional certification in facility management will be an added advantage.
