Under the direction of the Licensed Nurse, performs tasks and activities related to patient care to an assigned group of patients. Provide care for patients in accordance with age specific needs; provide care in accordance with any identifiable cultural diversity needs (such as religions, lifestyles, beliefs, physical capabilities, and cultures); provide care for patients by assuring effective pain interventions as allowed by their work certification; report and assist any patient that presents with evidence of abuse and/or neglect; and supports the mission of SEMMC. Coworkers are expected to abide by St. Edward Mercy Medical Center safety and infection control policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and co-workers. Supervises. None. NOTE: Competent to provide nursing services to the age of the specific population of assigned areas. See "Age Appropriate Care for Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric Patients" policy. Current CPR Certification is a required element to maintain the job position.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
    Licensure: Current certification by the Arkansas Office of Long Term Care for nurse's aide training required.
    Experience: Entry level.
