Job Summary

Demonstrates the physical ability to transport patients using various modes of transportation including wheelchairs, stretchers, hospital beds, etc. Is a patient advocate in meeting the patient’s wishes during the hospital experience. Provides privacy and confidentiality. Possesses the ability to communicate in a professional manner with all levels of the health care system staff and customers. Has a basic understanding of all aspects of the department in order to offer basic support when necessary.

Job Duties

• Transports patients, equipment and supplies as requested to and from various areas on the Lewistown Hospital campus.
• Ensures patient safety during transport.
• Assists in lifting and moving patients as requested.
• Performs support functions on off shifts and weekends such as darkroom, filming, etc.
