Controller - CPA required - Healthcare

A growing Healthcare organization is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee an accounting department of 8 team members. We'd love a candidate with at least 3 years in public tax, but is not required. Industry experience in Healthcare is highly desired! The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional financial acumen, and a track record of driving financial performance. Oversee all accounting operations Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting Research technical accounting issues for compliance Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls CPA or Masters in Finance or Accounting highly desired 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with creating financial statements Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process Excellent accounting software user and administration skills Strong experience in managing working capital and cash management Proven ability to present financials to the board Advanced skills in financial analysis and knowledge of GAAP Experience in preparing for an annual audit and managing tax filings If you are a financial leader with a passion for the healthcare industry, we would love to hear from you.
