Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Litigation Attorney. This role involves a wide range of duties centered around representing clients in disputes and contentious matters related to landlord-tenant relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cases from inception through resolution, conducting depositions, and representing clients in hearings and trials. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in landlord-tenant law, while also honing litigation skills in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in all stages of landlord-tenant disputes, from initial consultation through resolution.
  • Conduct thorough and detailed investigations to identify legal issues and gather relevant evidence.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct depositions of parties and witnesses.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting evidence and arguments in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, aiming for the most favorable outcome.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to landlord-tenant relationships.
  • Provide legal advice to clients, explaining complex legal concepts and potential outcomes in a clear, understandable way.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants, contributing to a positive, productive work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on landlord-tenant law.
  • Proven experience conducting depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines, maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and professional responsibility.
  • Willingness to continually learn and grow, adapting to changes in law and industry trends.
