<ul><li>Individually, or as a team member, plans and conducts examinations using extensive and specialized knowledge of accounting techniques, practices, and investigative audit techniques to examine and resolve various tax issues of individuals and business organizations that may include extensive subsidiaries with operations of national and/or international scope.</li><li>Evaluate the priority issues identified as part of the central classification process and provide feedback regarding issues throughout the examination process. Based on the feedback discussions, adjusts the scope of the examination by expanding or contracting the issues. May serve as a member of a classification team responsible for the identification of priority issues for examination.</li><li>Works in partnership with the Senior Revenue Agent in developing significant tax compliance issues, by collaborating with appropriate practice areas, examiners, Counsel, Appeals, and other specialists to leverage and expand complex issue expertise and ensure consistent application and interpretation of tax law.</li><li>Confers with taxpayers or their representatives to explain the accounting and other issues involved, the applicability of pertinent tax laws and regulations, and proposed adjustments. Considers collectability of potential tax deficiencies at all stages of the examination. Returns are selected based on dollar values, classes of tax (manufacturers, fuel distributors, etc.), geographical location, etc.</li><li>Reviews and evaluates returns which have been assigned by the Manager. Conducts necessary preliminary research and obtains requisite background information. Determines whether the return should be accepted as filed or whether an audit is required.</li><li>Develops pre-audit analysis identifying broad areas of discussion and review. Prepares audit plan, schedules the work and revises or modifies the plan as may be appropriate during the audit.</li><li>Conducts field examinations or large and complex firms (often with nationwide operations) predominantly within the manufacturing, transportation, communications, sporting goods, aviation, firearms, insurance and petroleum industries, to determine compliance with Federal excise tax laws. The firms are frequently recognized leaders in their respective industries.  As an Installation Technician, you’ll work inside or out to install and repair equipment as you take the lead on providing our voice, data and video services. We’ll look to you to promote DIRECTV as a premier service provider while you provide best-in-class customer service during installations. 
 Working at heights on ladders and raised surfaces to install and service customer satellite equipment. 
 Verify all services are working and demonstrate, sell and bill video service while engaging with customers. 
 Work outside in all types of weather while using and/or wearing appropriate safety equipment and following established safety practices and procedures. 
 The base wage range for this full-time position is $20.37 per hour + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
