The Associate Patient Care Coordinator – Floater directly supports positions that support over 1000 patient visits per month in multiple offices. by not filling this requisition, the clinic is at risk for delayed patient care, increased patient dissatisfaction directly impacting NPS, and missing opportunities to capture HEDIS measures that directly impact the organization’s ability to achieve a 5-star rating. Not filling this role jeopardizes the clinics ability to convert its large FFS population to a Medicare Advantage product which directly impacts the clinics ability to grow membership. The APCC is responsible for being the patients first contact at the office, offering C-I-Care, checking in/outpatients, completing eligibility, answering phones, scheduling patients, collecting all copays and balances from patients.
Travel to local offices on a daily basis to provide support as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator
Established and new patients, newborns, visitors, nursing home and hospital patients
Assign a medical record number. When appropriate schedule walk-in patients and return follow-up appointments
Allscripts – Pharmacy information, phone call back consent form, Task Bucket items, i.e., and indicate the patient is “nurse ready”, including patients returning from lab and radiology
Scan pertinent documents into administrative file
Monitor waiting area, screen and distinguish emergencies or STAT situations, notifying back-office personnel and/or physician as necessary
Process copayments, deductibles, payments on account through “end of day” batch reports. Prepare the deposit to send to Administration
Share in the maintenance of office machines (copier, printer, fax, credit card), assist users, send faxes, and make copies when requested

2+ years of customer service experience in a medical/healthcare setting
~ Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, etc.)
~ Ability to travel to local offices
~ Ability to work Saturday & Sunday on a rotational basis
~ Ability to work holidays on a rotational basis
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Knowledge of medical terminology
Accurately and appropriately document messages in a medical record
Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $16.31 per hour .
