Job Details We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our dynamic team in the pet wellness industry, which includes multiple state-of-the-art practices and some of the industry’s most brilliant, passionate, caring veterinarians, nurses, and technicians in the greater Indy and Atlanta markets. As a licensed veterinarian, you will be vital in providing exceptional care to all pets, including cats, dogs, and bunnies, and ensuring their overall well-being. This permanent, direct-hire position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of animals and make a lasting impact on their lives and the lives of their owners.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations on pets, including taking their medical history and conducting thorough diagnostic tests
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, injuries, and diseases in animals, utilizing your expertise in veterinary medicine
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for each patient, considering their unique needs and circumstances
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and other necessary treatments to prevent and manage pet illnesses
- Perform surgical procedures with utmost precision and care, such as spaying, neutering, and tumor removal
- Provide guidance and education to pet owners on proper nutrition, exercise, and preventive care to ensure the well-being of their beloved companions
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to deliver exceptional care and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education programs to enhance your knowledge and skills
- Adhere to all legal regulations and guidelines, including those set by the DEA, to ensure the safe and ethical practice of veterinary medicine
Qualifications:
- Experience as a licensed veterinarian or recent grads are welcome to apply!
- DVM degree
- Strong knowledge and understanding of veterinary medicine, including the ability to diagnose and treat various animal medical conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pet owners and fellow team members
- Proficiency in utilizing medical equipment and technology commonly used in veterinary practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrated passion for animal welfare and a genuine love for pets
