We are on the hunt for a dynamic and seasoned Sales Representative to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that demands an individual with a proven track record in sales and business development, particularly in the produce industry. The successful candidate will be tasked with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing clients, and driving our sales initiatives to achieve the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned territory or business segment.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media.
- Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns.
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
- Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data.
- Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
- Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.
- Foster and cultivate business relationships with key decision-makers to ensure future sales opportunities.
- Understand and stay current with industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales role within the produce industry.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to understand and interpret business needs to deliver a winning solution.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong business development acumen, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
