As a Permanent Project Manager in the Construction industry, you will play a critical role in managing and delivering complex construction projects. This role will require you to leverage your expertise in constructability reviews, estimating, budget control, contract negotiations, scheduling, project management, construction management, budgeting, risk management, contract management, team leadership, subcontract management, contract documents, cost control, scheduling, time management, decision making, and experience in handling 20M-200M projects and DSA projects.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the planning and implementation of project from inception to completion.
2. Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
3. Conduct constructability reviews and provide expert advice on construction methods and strategies.
4. Develop full scale project plans and associated communications documents.
5. Estimate costs and develop budgets, ensuring financial performance and profitability.
6. Negotiate contracts with architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
7. Manage project schedules and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time.
8. Oversee all aspects of project management, including risk management and contract management.
9. Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
10. Manage subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to contract documents.
11. Implement cost control measures and scheduling strategies to ensure project efficiency.
12. Make informed decisions that balance the needs of the client with the realities of the project.
13. Manage projects ranging in value from 20M-200M, ensuring successful delivery within budget and on schedule.
14. Handle DSA projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Construction industry.
3. Proven experience in constructability reviews, estimating, budget control, contract negotiations, scheduling, project management, construction management, budgeting, risk management, contract management, team leadership, subcontract management, contract documents, cost control, scheduling, time management, and decision making.
4. Demonstrated experience managing projects valued between 20M-200M.
5. Experience with DSA projects.
6. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract management.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
10. Proficient in project management software.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
12. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
