Job DetailsWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Camera Development Engineer to join our innovative team.
This is a permanent position where you will be tasked to design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art imaging devices.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for major aspects of system-level, circuit-level, and board-level designs for complex, mixed-signal assemblies.
You will work with a team of skilled engineers and scientists to identify new technologies, create and validate detailed designs, and transfer finished designs to production.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits for cameras and imaging systems.
- Work closely with a team of engineers and scientists to identify and implement new technologies.
- Create and validate detailed circuit and board-level designs.
- Transfer finished designs to production.
- Manage the development activities and schedule of outside contractors.
- Present technical and application information to prospective and existing customers as required.
- Develop new systems in an R&D setting and transfer that technology to a production environment.
- Have end-to-end responsibility for major aspects of system-level, circuit-level, and board-level designs for complex, mixed-signal assemblies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the design of analog and digital circuits, embedded controllers, FPGAs, and user interfaces.
- Direct experience designing mixed-signal analog and digital circuits for cameras and imaging systems.
- Expertise in developing new systems in an R&D setting and transferring that technology to a production environment.
- Proficiency in Shortwave Infrared, Imaging, InGaAs, SWIR, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Microscopy, Astronomy, Telecommunications, Short Wave Infrared, SWIR Camera, and InGaAs Imager.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical and application information to prospective and existing customers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage outside contractors and development activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for major aspects of system-level, circuit-level, and board-level designs.
- Experience working in a start-up environment is a plus.
