We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Automation Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in controls engineering, PLC programming, robotics, and electrical schematics. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automated systems and software that improve efficiency, quality, and safety in our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions for automation systems.
2. Create and maintain PLC programs for automated equipment.
3. Develop and integrate robotic systems into the manufacturing process.
4. Read and interpret electrical schematics and system layouts.
5. Work with ABB or similar industrial automation platforms.
6. Develop and maintain software using C#, C++, .NET, and other programming languages.
7. Use Aveva Edge HMI or equivalent to create user interfaces for automation systems.
8. Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to define system requirements and design solutions.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation systems and software.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a controls engineer, automation engineer, or in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Experience with Allen Bradley Guardlogix- a must
