Our client is currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Utility Systems Design Engineer. In this role, you will be crucial in designing and engineering Lighting, Underground (UG), and Overhead (OH) Utility systems. Working on various projects, ranging from single units to complex ventures, you will uphold our commitment to high standards and deadlines. Your expertise in utility Geographical Information Systems (GIS), planning database systems, and material ordering systems will be integral to your success in this position.
**Apply your deep understanding of design and construction principles to create innovative solutions for Lighting, UG, and OH Utility systems.
Provide design and engineering services across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring strict adherence to standards and deadlines.
Utilize your experience with utility GIS, planning database systems, and material ordering systems to enhance project efficiency.
Skillfully plan, organize, schedule, and monitor work activities to ensure seamless project execution.
Foster mentorship and collaboration within a dynamic team environment, supporting peers and trainees.
The role may require occasional travel of up to 30% and fieldwork across various regions, including remote areas and diverse weather conditions.
Experience in roles such as Service Planner, Engineer, or equivalent within the utility industry, with a strong background in GIS and WMIS programs.
Demonstrated proficiency in using pole loading software such as SPIDA, O-Calc, or equivalent, encompassing overhead design and engineering principles.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, AUD, and/or Microstation, showcasing your design software skills.
Five or more years of experience in Electrical Utility Distribution Design, Transmission Design, or Distribution Line construction.
Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
