Job Summary and Qualifications As a Vascular Sonographer, you would perform non-invasive ultrasound procedures while recognizing sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures and blood flow.

• You will adjust scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform, perform measurements and calculations according to laboratory protocol.
• You would analyze sonographic findings throughout the course of the examination to complete the comprehensive exam and provide sufficient data to the physician to render a final diagnosis.
• Initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast agents as indicated by the examination and according to established laboratory policy and procedure.
• You would notify appropriate personnel when procedural findings are significant and or patient condition is of concern.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Nursing Program.
• Registered Vascular Sonographer.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
