Conducts necessary preliminary research and obtains requisite background information. Determines whether the return should be accepted as filed or whether an audit is required.</li><li>Develops pre-audit analysis identifying broad areas of discussion and review. Prepares audit plan, schedules the work and revises or modifies the plan as may be appropriate during the audit.</li><li>Conducts field examinations or large and complex firms (often with nationwide operations) predominantly within the manufacturing, transportation, communications, sporting goods, aviation, firearms, insurance and petroleum industries, to determine compliance with Federal excise tax laws. The firms are frequently recognized leaders in their respective industries. Qualifications

Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. Position Details We are seeking a full-time LCSW or LPC who are licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania and have experience working in primary care or medical settings. Prepares audit plan, schedules the work and revises or modifies the plan as may be appropriate during the audit.</li><li>Conducts field examinations or large and complex firms (often with nationwide operations) predominantly within the manufacturing, transportation, communications, sporting goods, aviation, firearms, insurance and petroleum industries, to determine compliance with Federal excise tax laws. Personally handles to completion a variety of administrative projects, performing necessary coordination, making contacts, obtaining comments from management officials concerned, and preparing correspondence.</li><li>Analyzes incoming directives, manual issuances, policy changes, regulatory and procedural changes, etc., for significant potential effect on manager's objectives and for general interests of the manager. Alerts manager of the area of potential impact and arranges for any necessary follow-up technical review by an appropriate segment of the organization. Ensures the follow-up action is accomplished. Edits and offers a critique on organizational internal management documents, pointing out aspects such as lack of clarity or understandability and questions on substantive content.</li><li>Exercises exclusive control over the manager's appointments, with complete authority for commitments of time. Screens all calls and visitors, answering most questions and completing most administrative business involving established policy or routine matters. Maintains the confidential files of all sensitive material for the manager. Territory Managers, and equivalent level supervisors, are given authority and latitude in dealing with employee issues, including actions involving labor relations matters. The secretary also establishes and maintains general administration and other confidential files in the manager's immediate office.</li></ul>
