Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of assigned department's imaging services. Ensure quality imaging, patient care and work flow. Monitor patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy. Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting. Serve as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed. Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provide input to staff performance evaluations. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or from the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) obtained within 12 months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Additional Preferences Applicant must be ARDMS certified in abdominal and OBGYN specialties or much take boards within 1 year of employment. Applicant must be RVT certified in sonography. Applicant must have minimum of 2 years experience within sonography.
