Senior Buyer is responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Coordinates activities involved with new product introduction, strategic planning, source materials, procuring goods and services such as raw materials and equipment to meet production requirements and to support our group.
Able to project manage elements of supply chain in an engineering led production organization. interpreting engineering drawings, helping in
buy decisions, expediting sub-assemblies to meet shipment deadlines.
Identifies, researches, and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
Assesses supplier's products to ensure they that they comply with specifications and meets the organization's quality standards.

of current and anticipated demand for goods and materials.

Demonstrated advance understanding of MRP Systems, TCO Factors, Vendor Audits and Qualification, Part Qualification, Negotiation, and Inventory
Understanding of Commodity Based Market Analysis and research of alternate vendors.

Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or related
4+ years of demonstrated experience in a Purchasing Department in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Procurement MRP/ERP systems, Business Central a plus
High level of organization, with the ability to handle a multitude of projects simultaneously
Requires the ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
Ability to meet product release deadline by identifying and mitigating risk buys
Ability to multi-task and independently prioritize projects & deliverables
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and procedure
Castings, fiber glass, cables, electronics, sheet metal, machining, refrigeration, motors procurement preferred
