Provide leadership and management to our clients and staff in the areas of federal and state taxation. ~Preparation and/or review of moderate and complex business and personal income tax returns, including multi-state and client tax planning using Ultra Tax software. ~Preparation and/or review of trust, estate, and gift tax returns. ~Provide leadership in areas of tax research and development and training of staff members. ~Review and/or maintain financial accounting records for client companies. This may include, but is not limited to preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, accounting for fixed assets and depreciation, and preparing work papers. ~Occasional review of payroll and sales tax filings. ~Participate in consulting, special projects, and additional assignments per supervisor’s direction. ~Ensure adherence to Company philosophy and policy of delivering quality and professional tax and accounting services and dealing honestly and fairly with clients and company personnel. 4-5 years of accounting experience ~Bachelor's degree in business or accounting, a master's degree in taxation is a plus ~Thorough understanding of federal and multi-state tax laws and standard accounting procedures. ~Entrepreneurial-minded and have strong communication and leadership skills as well as a willingness and desire to help others.
