Gorsuch & Associates, employees of the Law Department of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, is seeking an attorney with 3-7 years of civil litigation experience in No- Fault, Automobile Negligence and/or Premises Liability, as well as trial experience with exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, the rules of evidence, the Michigan No- Fault Act, and trial strategy to join our Southfield, M I office. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, superior oral advocacy and writing skills, and the ability to manage a caseload where work is time sensitive. The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend some time in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs. Based in Southfield, M I we enjoy an active and busy insurance defense practice. Qualifications Must have a law degree from an A B A accredited law school and excellent academic credentials· Must have an active license to practice law in Michigan and be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.3-7 years of civil litigation experience preferably in insurance defense including experience handling No Fault/ P I P, Bodily Injury, and Premises Liability litigation. Jury trial experience is a plus. Strong automation/technology skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation. Experience working in a paperless environment.
