Seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our thriving Mortgage industry team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to lead our tax department. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the company's compliance with all tax laws and regulations. The role involves strategic tax planning, preparing tax returns, and managing a team of tax professionals. Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory services to the company.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
  • Implement tax strategies that minimize the company's tax liability and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure the company's tax strategies and policies reflect these changes.
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide strategic tax planning advice and identify tax-saving opportunities.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as necessary.
  • Monitor and manage tax risk management processes, ensuring they are effective and compliant.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or on track.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws, tax compliance, and tax planning.
  • Proven experience in tax preparation and review.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.
