Job Details

As a Client Accounting Specialist, your primary responsibility will be managing client billing, invoicing, and financial record-keeping. Your expertise with legal e-billing and billing software is essential to ensure efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process client invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client agreements and billing guidelines.
  • Manage legal e-billing processes, including the submission of electronic invoices to clients and addressing e-billing inquiries.
  • Maintain and update client accounts, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in billing and financial records and take necessary corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and attorneys to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Monitor and track payment collections and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of Legal Billing and Accounting experience required.
  • Prior experience with legal e-billing is required.
  • Corporate & IP/TM experience desired
  • Proficiency with billing software such as Aderant, Elite or other similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively address billing inquiries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
