The Patient Care Coordinator  performs a wide variety of duties associated with patient services. This position is responsible for all components of the patient experience ranging from patient in-take, office visit, patient close-out, and appointment scheduling. The position also oversees the reporting function for the clinic including compliance specific reports as well as corporate statistics. 

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Work Location: 21803 N Scottsdale, Suite 125, Scottsdale, AZ

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to all customers
  • May perform regular Patient Services Representative duties to include: Greeting patients; complete check in and check out tasks; collecting co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and all cash handling policies
  • Answer phones, scheduling appointments, redirecting calls as appropriate and assist callers with questions or concerns within the Patient Services Representative scope
  • Responsible for waiting room management cleanliness, communicate pertinent information to patients and ensure all patients have been assisted
  • Work with back office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Resolve service issues and complaints, and defer to appropriate management or clinical personnel when necessary
  • Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Prepares and mails out new patient packets to include welcome letter, magnets, bios, and appointment confirmation dates
  • Inputs and/or updates patient demographic information and advises on the collection of patient payment
  • Schedule routine and follow-up appointments. Reviews all incoming faxes and routes to the appropriate area of the clinic

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of medical front desk experience
  • 2+ years of electronic medical record experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of insurance verification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and via phone  
  • Proficient in PC software computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other departmental specific programs/applications
