We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our client as a Permanent Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, reporting on revenue, training accounting staff, budgeting, disbursing funds to departments, managing risk, implementing policies, and improving financial processes. This executive role will play a crucial part in our clients success, driving our financial strategy and hiring practices. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to ensure the company's financial health.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting and profitability analyses.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Manage the cash flow and forecasting, optimizing day-to-day activities.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation.
  • Manage and oversee the entire finance department, HR, IT, and administration.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
  • Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
  • Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans.
  • Maintain speed and accuracy of billings and client payments.
  • Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required.

Job Details

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A demonstrable track record in managing financial and management accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting within a similar sized business.
  • Experience with federal grant accounting and financial management.
  • Proven P&L management track record.
  • Experience with grants, revenue, forecasting, cash flow, operating budget.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
