- Develop and implement financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting and profitability analyses.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage the cash flow and forecasting, optimizing day-to-day activities.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation.
- Manage and oversee the entire finance department, HR, IT, and administration.
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
- Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
- Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
- Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
- Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans.
- Maintain speed and accuracy of billings and client payments.
- Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position.
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A demonstrable track record in managing financial and management accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting within a similar sized business.
- Experience with federal grant accounting and financial management.
- Proven P&L management track record.
- Experience with grants, revenue, forecasting, cash flow, operating budget.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
