Job Details

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop firmware for real-time protocol stacks and internal controls in C++ for embedded systems used in digital wireless communication applications.
  • Design, create, and maintain Python-based tests to validate new functionalities and provide support to external test teams.
  • Actively participate in agile development processes, including planning, refining, retrospective, and review sessions.
  • Analyze user requirements and technical aspects related to the implementation of new functionalities.
  • Contribute to the software design of new product functionalities.
  • Monitor and update the progress of work items while maintaining current status updates.
  • Gain expert understanding of wireless communication technical standards, including 802.11 and 3GPP.
  • Collaborate with local and remote teams, providing support and contributing to ongoing projects.
  • Assist in investigating reported software defects and supporting customers when needed.
  • Provide software and hardware support for the maintenance of the test system.
  • Support product qualification and approval processes.
  • Contribute to continuous development by identifying opportunities for quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Mentor and support colleagues in areas of expertise.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering with extensive software knowledge.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python.
  • Experience in software development projects and processes.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as VS Studio/Code and PyCharm.
  • Experience with Source Code Management (SCM) tools, including Git.
  • Understanding of continuous integration concepts.
  • Candidates must be located in the US and possess valid US work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of wireless communications.
  • Experience with RF test equipment, cabling, connections, and operation.
  • Previous work with complex software systems and distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems, networking tools, and protocols (e.g., Linux, Windows, WSL, SSH, RDT, IPERF, Ping, TCP, UDP).
