We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead and drive our sales department. The successful candidate will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. The VP of Sales will be a part of the executive management team and will report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
2. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
3. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
4. Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
5. Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of sales forecast.
6. Oversee and manage a large team of Sales Managers, typically spanning a wide geographical area.
7. Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and manage team relationships effectively to ensure exceptional performance.
8. Foster a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior.
9. Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.

Qualifications:

1. Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
2. Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director in the technology industry.
3. Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors.
4. Demonstrable experience in developing strategic sales plans and successfully implementing them.
5. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
6. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
7. Proven experience in Business Development, Sales Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), New Business Development, and Product Management.
8. Strong business sense and industry expertise in the technology sector.
9. Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
10. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
