Job Details:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Regional Safety Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time role, providing an excellent opportunity for a safety professional to advance their career in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing safety programs and protocols across various construction sites within a designated region. This position will work closely with site managers and construction crews to ensure all activities are compliant with safety regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and procedures ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
2. Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance issues.
3. Provide safety training and education to construction staff, including the development of training materials and conducting safety meetings.
4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventative measures.
5. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to create site-specific safety plans for each project.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related activities, including incident reports, inspection results, and corrective actions.
7. Provide guidance and support to staff on safety-related issues, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance across all levels of the organization.
8. Liaise with regulatory bodies and maintain a strong understanding of current and emerging safety regulations and industry trends.
9. Develop and implement emergency response procedures and coordinate drills.
10. Regularly review and update company safety policies and procedures to ensure continued effectiveness.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is required.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a safety role within the construction industry.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety and site safety procedures.
4. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
5. Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines.
6. Proven experience conducting safety inspections and audits.
7. Exceptional training and presentation skills, with experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential safety issues.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with staff at all levels, as well as regulatory bodies.
10. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
11. Ability to travel regularly to various construction sites within the designated region.
