Creates and maintains a validation and verification system for sanitation processes. Replaces the shortcomings and inconsistencies within operations with newer and updated sanitation methods. Collaborates with engineering on the hygienic design and accessibility for deep clean prior to the purchase of new machinery and equipment. Collaborates with Safety, Operations and Engineering on performance of CIP systems and cleaning chemical approvals. Collaborates with vendors who provide chemicals, cleaning, and any supporting equipment. Evaluates equipment and processes to ensure compliance with environmental, and safety regulations. Tracks manufacturing facilities sanitation performance, and ensures progress is being made to close identified gaps. Collaborates with Quality Managers on environmental monitoring, sanitation policy, food safety plans, microbial test results and internal audits. Develops sanitation training instructions and SSOP’s.
