Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Cost Accountant/ Plant Accounting Manager to join our energetic team. This role is integral to the financial health and growth of our company. As a Cost Accountant/ Plant Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the financial management of our manufacturing plant. This includes managing and reducing operational costs, maximizing return on investment and improving the company's overall financial performance. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement cost standards for materials and labor.
2. Design and implement systems to increase productivity and reduce costs.
3. Monitor and report on inventory levels, production costs, and returns.
4. Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
5. Conduct regular physical inventory cycle counts and reconciliations.
6. Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
7. Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
8. Use Hyperion to create financial forecasts and budgets.
9. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
10. Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
11. Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proven experience in using Hyperion or similar financial management software.
4. Strong knowledge of inventory cycle counts and cost accounting.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
6. The ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
8. Excellent interpersonal and team management skills.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
10. CPA or CMA certification is an added advantage.
