Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tailor to join our dynamic team. This role is not your average tailoring job, as you’ll be working in the heart of the fast-paced, exhilarating world of trade shows. You’ll be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments to ensure our clients make a significant impact when it matters most. This is a full-time position with an 8:30am - 5:30pm schedule, offering overtime hours as needed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tailoring, an eye for detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tailor to join our dynamic team. This role is not your average tailoring job, as you’ll be working in the heart of the fast-paced, exhilarating world of trade shows. You’ll be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments to ensure our clients make a significant impact when it matters most. This is a full-time position with an 8:30am - 5:30pm schedule, offering overtime hours as needed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tailoring, an eye for detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the design team to create and modify display items as per specifications.
- Perform alterations on a variety of garments, ensuring a perfect fit and high customer satisfaction.
- Operate sewing machines or hand sew to repair, modify, and create each trade show textile.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand client needs and expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are in good condition and easy to locate.
- Manage inventory of fabrics, threads, and other tailoring supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest fashion trends and tailoring techniques.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Ability to pass a sewing test during the interview process.
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines and other tailoring tools.
- Exceptional skills in alterations and fitting.
- Strong knowledge of different fabrics and sewing techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in tailoring or fashion design is a plus.
