Job Details:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Permanent Licensed Electrician to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, high-tech environment in the Food Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. This role is critical to our operations, ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing and packaging lines. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in diagnosing and servicing electrical issues, and a strong commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Perform regular tests and inspections on electrical systems, including infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, and voltage testing.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of food manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Ensure all installations and repairs are in compliance with the National Electrical Code.
  • Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on installations and large repairs or maintenance jobs.
  • Respond to emergencies promptly, and provide efficient and immediate repairs.
  • Perform preventative and regular maintenance on electrical components or systems.
  • Ensure the safety of the electrical work environment by adhering to all company and industry standard safety regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Licensed Electrician with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
  • Experience in the Food Manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of various types of manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid state license or certification to work as an Electrician.
  • Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, operate power tools, and work in diverse environments.
