The Associate Director Actuarial Services, Pricing leads and manages teams with responsibility for coaching actuaries and developing student actuaries. This position will support the Individual medical product line. The Associate Director Actuarial Services, Pricing is a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for health plan leadership in ensuring that program rates are competitive, adequate and actuarially sound. This individual will lead and/or coordinate analytical efforts to support the rate setting process including competitive analysis, network analysis, risk adjustment, trend, actuarial benefit value analysis, etc. Additional Projects may include: Developing actuarial models Preparing experience analyses Preparing regulatory filings Assisting in the development of financial forecasts and projections  You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics, or related field ~ 5+ years of actuarial experience ~ Actuarial experience in health care, specifically with experience in developing program rates and pricing methodologies  ~ Advanced or higher level of proficiency with MS Excel Experience managing or supervising others Proficiency with SAS and/or SQL California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
